Stephané Alexandre is a Ghanaian-British Director + Producer with over 18 years’ experience working across scripted film, broadcast television, and branded content. Her work spans culturally resonant storytelling for UK and international audiences, collaborating with major broadcasters including Comedy Central, BBC, BET UK TO BRANDS LIKE FOOTLOCKER, PERPLEXITY AND NATWEST.

She has worked on award-winning broadcast television, including The Evolution of Black British Music for My5 and BET UK, which won a Royal Television Society Award in 2023. She also series produced and directed an episode of Drunk History: Black Stories for Comedy Central UK, the channel’s first all-Black-led UK production, which won a Broadcast Digital Award in 2022.

Stephané made her directorial debut with the short film The Perfect Knight, released in February 2023 and starring Jessica Allain and CJ Beckford. The film was written, produced, and directed by Alexandre and serves as a proof of concept for the scripted television series Ali E.

Her work is driven by a commitment to changing narratives in British cinema, centring emotionally rich, authentic Black characters and stories that inspire connection and broaden representation across film and television.
